Complex palletising and handling system for dairy products
Scott designed and installed a complex turnkey package of palletising and pallet handling systems for Müller Yoghurt and Desserts at their recently extended Telford site. Having previously successfully completed installations for Müller, Scott were able to offer a competitive design incorporating their highly reliable palletisers that are renowned for operation in 24/7 production environments.
The main components of the system are:
- Two Scott series PL8000 palletisers with pack and pallet handling conveyor
- Installation of a multi-level cooling pod system with pallet delivery and discharge system
- Installation of the Scott Maestro integration software package
- Integration with the monorail transfer system
- Integration with the existing suite of Manex Palletisers
- Internal pallet tracking system with localised labelling
- Pallet wrapping and labelling
- Pallet marshalling for despatch
The system was housed in a large purpose built extension added to the Müller Telford site to mainly produce yoghurts and dairy products. The installation is part of a highly efficient automated production system using the latest technology known to the industry. Accommodation was made within the overall design for future additional packing lines to be added incorporating additional palletisers which will also be linked to the overall pallet handling and product cooling systems.
